I recently completed my Masters Eductaion in November 2005. I am currently awaiting final marking. The courses I undertook within this programme where the following.

Advanced Web Aplications and Technologies, (30 credits): looking at wide veriety of existing web technologies and best practices. Including: PHP, XHTML, HTML, Perl, SQL, CSS, Accessibility, W3C standards, Flash, SAX, DOM, XSLT and XML.

Coursework involved delivering a fully functional online job agency with MySQL database back end. PHP, Perl and Flash versions where constructed.

E-Commerce, (15 credits): Enteprise Content Management Systems (CMS), Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Supply Chain Management, Return on Invstment (ROI) and E-shopping cart applications.

Coursework involved software analysis and suitability testing for a fictional corporation.

Distributed Data Management, (30 credits): Data modeling with UML, distributed architectures, fragmentation, replication and Structured Query Language.

Coursework required the developement of a relational distributed cross DBM database for Oracle and DB2.

Internet Security, (15 credits): Encryption, public key infrastructure, digital signatures, email spoofing, whois, traceroute, Computer Misuse Act 1990, Firewalls and data protection.

Coursework involved the discussion of different methods for storing cryptographic keys

Enterprise Programming and Architecture, (30 credits) Java, JSP, Soap, Ant, XML, JavaBeans database architecture and servlets.

Coursework required development of JSP based interface with database.

Final Project, (60 credits): An an analysis of accessibility issues and technologies with particular focus on the perceived restraints placed upon hjigh impact visual design when trying to meet accessibility standards. Strong focus on issues such as CSS design, codng to standards and cross browser compatibility.

Consulted on the development, promotion strategies and hosting of the new website The Other Iraq. This website was launched in conjunction with a television advertising campaign on CNN and Fox News in the United States.

Developed forms for this website using PHP and JavaScript.

Developed banner advertisement system displayed at http://www.theotheriraq.com/banners.html using Photoshop and Flash MX.

Provided training in FTP protocols and HTML coding to enable staff to updating of content, images and links for their websites.

Developed strategy for the future re-development of the company's main website www.kurdistancorporation.com in order to achieve accessibility and compatibility standards as defined by the World Wide Web Consortium, (w3c.org)

Evaluated and revised the company's web hosting strategy saving the company over £1000.00 per month in fees and providing them with what they consider to be a better service.

This website currently receives in excess of 10,000 visits per day.

Co-ordinated with NHS Complaints Board, setting up public tribunals with lawyers, doctors and complainants, handling multiple cases at a time.

Promoted from Order Management and Administration due to my strong understanding of legacy systems, assisted with the testing and implementation of new Oracle based systems. Working closely with the Help Desk staff I also helped to ensure the day to day running of systems within a large Shared Service Centre.

Working within a small team I played a significant role in the full redevelopment of this intranet, introducing new functionalities such as message boards, search functionality and a content management system for the uploading of reports.
