Welcome to www.mtod.co.uk.
The purpose of this site is for me to experiment with and demonstrate certain web technologies, for potential employers to look at my CV and, for those who may be interested, to view a gallery of personal photos.
The site has been coded in accordance with the World Wide Web Consortium's guidelines and is designed to achieve as high a level of accessibility as possible.
The site is built entirely with CSS layout, XHTML 1.0 strict, PHP and as little JavaScript as possible. I have tested the site in as many different browsers as I could and will continue to do so. The pages should render correctly in all modern browsers. If you are using an older browser such as Navigator or Internet Explorer versions 4 or below the site will function correctly it just won't look quite as intended. If this is the case, you may wish to consider updating your browser.
I recommmend Mozilla's Firefox, it's free, it's good and it's a relatively small 5mb download (the latest update for Windows Internet Explorer is almost 80mb!). If you are unable to download files of this size you will find Firefox on many cover disks for popular computing magazines or your local internet cafe might be so kind as to put a copy on a disk for you.
I will continue to explore ways of refining the accessibility and cross browser compatibility of this site but if you encounter any problems or bugs please let me know via email (see below)I If you could include details of your browser type and version, your operating system and where applicable a screen shot it would help me considerably. If you simply want to know how or why I have done something please feel free to email me as well; I will endeavour to answer.
